A$AP Rocky Convicted of Assault, Won't Serve Any More Jail Time

A$AP Rocky was found guilty of assault by a Swedish court on Wednesday (August 14), however, he will not have to serve any more jail time after being released from jail earlier this month in Stockholm, Sweden.

Two members of his entourage were also convicted after the brawl that occurred with 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari in late June.

The court rejected his claim of self-defense, saying (via CNN), “The defendants have claimed that they acted in self-defence. Based on statements from two witnesses, the court finds that the defendants were not subject to a current or imminent criminal attack. Therefore, they were not in a situation where they were entitled to use violence in self-defence. Nor could they have perceived themselves to be in such a situation.”

As for A$AP Rocky not having to spend any additional time in jail, the court ruled that the crime was not “of such a serious nature.”
