Michael Fassbender may be joining the cast of Taika Waititi‘s new film!

The 42-year-old actor is in talks to join the cast of sports dramedy Next Goal Wins, according to THR.

The flick is based on the 2014 British documentary of the same name and tells the underdog story of the national football team of American Samoa.

Michael would play the team’s coach as he works to transform the team from perennial losers into a FIFA World Cup-qualifying outfit.

Casting calls have reportedly gone out for Fa’afafine actors to play the team members.
