Sarah Paulson & Jimmy Fallon's Chat About 'The Goldfinch' Definitely Didn't Go As Planned

Sarah Paulson just appeared on the latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and her chat with Jimmy about The Goldfinch didn’t seem to go as planned.

The 44-year-old late night host basically told the world how he didn’t like the book during the interview on Tuesday (September 17) in New York City.

“I tried [to read the book],” Jimmy told the crowd after Sarah praised the novel. “It is beautiful and great, and I go, ‘I get it.’ And then it went into a different story and I go, ‘What happened?’”

“I really got into it. The museum and the whole thing, they go, it’s not about that. There’s like four chapters about the museum. It’s not about a museum. So I read four chapters that’s not about anything. And I’m like, ‘What am I going to do?’ And you know what I said? ‘I can’t wait for the movie to come out,” Jimmy said.

Jimmy then said he’ll try again to read the book before the movie comes out, to which Sarah told him the movie is already out in theaters.
