Jason Bateman Wins Best Directing for 'Ozark' at Emmys 2019 (Video)
Jason Bateman takes home the award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series at the 2019 Emmy Awards!
The 50-year-old actor won for his work on the Netflix series Ozark (Episode: “Reparations”) at the event held on Sunday (September 22) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Ozark beat out Game of Thrones, Killing Eve, Succession, and The Handmaid’s Tale.
“Wow,” Jason said during his speech, thanking the cast, crew, and his family. “That is something.”
The award marks Jason‘s first win and second nomination. He also received a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Martin “Marty” Byrde.
His co-star Julia Garner also won for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
