Mahershala Ali gets support from his wife Amatus Sami-Karim at the 2019 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 22) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The 45-year-old actor is up for the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series of Movie award for his work on HBO’s True Detective.

The Emmys will air live TONIGHT on Fox and the show will not have a host, marking the fourth time in history that this has happened.
