Jon Hamm Binge Watched 'Star Wars' to Prepare for 'Lucy in the Sky' Role - Watch Now!

Natalie Portman‘s old movies helped Jon Hamm prepare for his role in their new movie!

During an interview with Access Hollywood, the co-stars chatted about their new movie Lucy in the Sky and the 48-year-old Mad Men actor joked that he watched all the Star Wars prequels as he prepared for his role as an astronaut.

“I watched all of the prequels to Star Wars and she explained all the movies to me because I had a lot of questions,” Jon said with a laugh during his interview. “That took like a whole week. It took a long time!”

Natalie starred in Star Wars: Episodes I, II, and III as Padmé Amidala.

Lucy in the Sky hits theaters on October 4th.
