Robert De Niro Tells 'Fallon' That 'The Irishman' Is About 'Loyalty'!

Robert De Niro stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (September 25), and dished all about his upcoming film The Irishman!

The upcoming Martin Scorsese film sees the 76-year-old actor teaming up with Al Pacino and Joe Pesci. The film uses a special visual effect technology to de-age the stars.

For example, throughout the film, Robert‘s character is shown through various times in his life and the technology takes years off of his appearance – Watch the trailer here!

“It’s a very simple story. It’s about loyalty and a guy stuck in the middle of two people – he had to make a choice,” Robert told Fallon. “It was a matter of survival actually for him that he did.”

Robert De Niro breaks down how they made him look like his early-20s self in the film, brags to Jimmy about how easy it was to play a talk show host in the Joker movie, and discusses the many years it took to complete The Irishman.
