Kristin Chenoweth Feels Lucky That Ariana Grande Said 'Yes' to Doing a Song Together

Kristin Chenoweth waves to the photographers while stepping out for a Build Series interview on Monday (September 30) in New York City.

The Emmy and Tony-winning singer and actress opened up about working with Ariana Grande on the song “You Don’t Own Me” for her new album For The Girls.

“I can’t believe she said yes. She’s a very busy young lady. And I never want to be that person to pressure any of my friends who are way more famous and talented and busy than I am. I just wanted to do something with her,” Kristin said.

Kristin also talked about relating to Ariana as “pocket divas” because they’re small people with big voices.

“If I’m going to get to have Reba [McEntire] and Dolly [Parton] on my record, and JHud [Jennifer Hudson], I want to have all generations if I can. And I feel lucky that I got to do that,” she added.

Kristin‘s album For The Girls is out NOW!
