'Joker' Is Already Breaking Box Office Records on First Day!

Joker has only been in theaters for one day so far and it’s already breaking records at the box office!

The new movie, starring Joaquin Phoenix as the titular character, earned $39.9 million on opening day – the biggest single day at the box office ever for the month of October. This amount includes the $13.3 million that the movie earned during the Thursday night previews, according to THR.

The previous biggest day for October was Venom‘s first Friday last year with $32.5 million.

Joker is expected to pull in around $95 million for its opening weekend, which will also be a record for the month of October.
