Kanye West 'Sunday Service' Trademark Application Rejected

Kanye West is not getting ownership of “Sunday Service.”

The 42-year-old rapper applied for exclusive ownership for “Sunday Service” so that he could put it on clothes and merch, but the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office shut him down because someone else already owns it, TMZ reports.

According to documents, officials have determined that the trademark would cause confusion, as “Sunday Service” was registered back in 2015 by a man who uses the name for his event company.

Kanye had applied for the trademark through Mascotte Holdings, Inc. back in July after he started selling “Sunday Service” merch at his weekly Christian gatherings.

It is also being reported that Kanye can choose to fight the decision before completely abandoning the application.
