Natalie Portman Responds to Marvel Criticism By Martin Scorsese & Francis Ford Coppola

Natalie Portman is responding to the criticism of Marvel movies from directors Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola. Francis is the latest to criticize the films and he called them “despicable.”

“I think there’s room for all types of cinema. There’s not one way to make art,” Natalie told THR. “I think that Marvel films are so popular because they’re really entertaining and people desire entertainment when they have their special time after work, after dealing with their hardships in real life.”

Many other celebrities have slammed the Marvel franchise films over the years – including some current and former Marvel stars.

Natalie is going to star in Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder, as Jane Foster / Thor, which will hit theaters in 2021.
