Henry Golding Says Being James Bond Would Be 'Most Iconic Role Possible'!

Henry Golding stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (November 6) and talked about the possibility of him becoming the new James Bond.

Host Jimmy showed the 32-year-old Last Christmas star a chart of Las Vegas betting odds that had him at 10:1 odds to replace Daniel Craig as Bond following No Time to Die.

Other prospects included Richard Madden, Tom Hiddleston and Idris Elba. “Idris Elba. Who wants to see Idris kick some butt? He’s amazing,” he said.

Henry did say he’s open to taking on the role himself: “If you’re a male movie star, it is literally the most iconic role possible,” he said. “You’d be an absolute idiot not to sort of think and aspire for a role like that. So, who knows?”

Henry also talked about wrapping up another film called The Gentlemen, in which he stars alongside Matthew McConaughey.

“I remember going in on my first day, thinking, I’m gonna be best friends with Matthew McConaughey!,” Golding expressed. “We’re gonna go for, like, Sunday walks in the park, we’re gonna go for dinner, our wives are gonna be best buddies, I’m gonna go for yogurt with him on, like, Saturdays.”
