'Days Of Our Lives' Cast Released From Their Contracts, Prompting Speculation Show May Be Ending

Is Days of Our Lives ending on NBC after over five decades on the air?!

TV Line is reporting that the entire cast has been released from their contracts and the show will be going on an indefinite hiatus at the end of November. Since the show films about eight months in advance, there are enough new episodes to last until Summer 2020.

The report also suggested that NBC would like to bring the show back but ratings are slipping for the show, which first debuted in 1965.

“All indications are that NBC would like to keep the show going,” the source said.

This news comes just a few weeks after legendary Days of Our Lives star John Clarke passed away.
