Saturday Night Live is turning the “boring” Trump impeachment hearings into a soap opera!

The sketch show kicked off their show on Saturday night (November 16) with a Days of Our Lives-inspired cold open.

Making a surprise appearance in the cold open was Jon Hamm, who portrayed former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Bill Taylor.

Kate McKinnon also reprised her role as Trump‘s lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

“Mercury’s in retrograde, so my powers are at an all-time high,” Kate as Rudy qupped. “And I’ve got an insurance policy in case the president turns against me. I’m going to die in a mysterious boat explosion.”
