'Game of Thrones' Cast Filmed Alternate Ending for Season 8

An alternate ending WAS filmed for Game of Thrones‘ final season!

Kristofer Hivju, who played the role of Tormund Giantsbane on the show, revealed the news in a new interview.

“Well, we shot an alternative ending,” Kristofer told Metro UK. “That was mostly for fun but I don’t know if I’m allowed to tell you about that.”

When pressed for details, he responded, “I won’t tell you! But it was fun.”

Spoiler alert! In the original ending, Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) was named the King of the 6 kingdoms. Fans were extremely disappointing in the final season of the show and particularly, with the ending. So much so that they requested a complete reshoot of the final season!
