Kacey Musgraves Talks About Breaking Royal Protocol & High Fiving Prince Harry

Kacey Musgraves is addressing high fiving Prince Harry back when they both attended the Royal Variety Performance at the Albert Hall over four years ago in 2015 in London, England.

At the time, the moment drew some attention because it is against royal protocol to greet the royals this way.

“Apparently afterwards, the guy that works at the label was like, ‘No, no, no,’” Kacey recalled recently to Access Hollywood. “He was like, ‘I can’t believe you gave him a high-five. That’s just unbelievable.’ He’s like, ‘No, there’s a way to address the royal family, and a high-five, going up top is not the way.’“

“I was like, ‘I didn’t know. He went in for it, so whatever,’” she continued.
