Ryan Reynolds is Now an Owner of Wireless Carrier Mint Mobile

Ryan Reynolds has purchased an ownership stake in the mobile carrier Mint Mobile.
The 43-year-old Deadpool actor is now a part owner of the low-cost wireless carrier, the actor and the The Costa Mesa, Calif.-based company announced on Monday (November 25).
“Newest @_MintMobile customer,” Ryan tweeted. “Also, owner of the company. To keep things above board, I’ll be paying myself $15 a month. #MintOwner.”
Mint Mobile – a “virtual” carrier that is part of T-Mobile’s nationwide network – offers prepaid plans starting at $15 per month for three gigabytes of wireless data.
The company did not reveal the size of Ryan‘s investment.
Ryan will also “help with Mint’s communications and marketing efforts as well as strategic decision-making,” according to the company.
“Celebrities generally invest in high-end products like skincare brands or delicious gin companies,” Ryan Reynolds said in a statement. “Yet Mint is making wireless way more affordable at a time when the average American is paying $65 a month. I’m excited to champion a more practical approach to the most essential technology.”
