The 30-year-old Peanut Butter Falcon actress made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday (November 27),

During Dakota‘s appearance, Ellen asked about Dakota‘s 30th birthday party, and awkwardly grilled the actress about not being invited – to which Dakota insisted she was.

“Actually that’s not true, Ellen…Ask anybody, ask your producer,” she said.

“Oh right, I had that thing,” Ellen joked.

The exchange quickly went viral on social media over the weekend, generating headlines like “Dakota Johnson‘s Newest Ellen Interview Is More Awkward Than All Of My High School Years Combined” and “Dakota Johnson Wastes Zero Time Calling Out Ellen’s Bulls–t.”
