Gabrielle Union Comments on How to Properly Apologize After 'America's Got Talent' Producers Release Statement on Her Exit

Gabrielle Union has been in the headlines in the past few weeks after reports that America’s Got Talent had a toxic culture that led to her being let go as a judge.

“The judging and host line-up has been regularly refreshed over the years and that is one of the reasons for AGT’s enduring popularity. NBC and the producers take any issues on set seriously,” NBC and series producers Freemantle said in a statement moments ago. The statement is a bit more extensive and you can read it in full right here.

Well, moments after that statement was released, Gabrielle quote tweeted a statement from freelance writer and host Joelle Monique. Joelle posted a message about apologies, which read, “A solid apology comes in three parts. 1. Sincerely admit wrong doing directly to the offended party. 2. Be twice as loud correcting your mistake as you were making the mistake. 3. Lay out steps to correct your behavior in the future. Anything less is covering your own ass.”

It’s unclear if this is a direct response to the AGT production company statement, but Gabrielle quote tweeted Joelle’s sentiment and wrote, “This! This! AND THIIISSSSSSS!!!!!!”
