House Judiciary Committee Votes to Impeach President Donald Trump

The House Judiciary Committee voted to adopt two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Friday (December 13).

All 23 Democrats voted in favor, with all 17 Republicans opposed after the 14-hour hearing on Thursday (December 12), which ended after 11 p.m.

Chairman Jerrold Nadler then delayed the process by delaying his vote until the next morning.

Trump is accused of abusing his power and pressuring Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election, and also of obstruction of the impeachment inquiry process.

The impeachment process will next move to the full House for a vote next week.
