Sofia Vergara Meets with NBC Over 'America's Got Talent' Judges Opening

There are two empty seats at the America’s Got Talent judges table after the departures of Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough, and apparently NBC has met with Modern Family‘s Sofia Vergara about filling one of the spots.

Sources have added to THR that producers are speaking to numerous celebs about filling the two open spots. An official announcement about judges will likely come in the next few months, as production on the new season begins in March.

Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel will be returning as judges. Gabrielle had reportedly spoken out about the “toxic culture” at the show while she was a judge and she was subsequently let go. She later had a five hour meeting with NBC.
