'Bombshell's John Lithgow Says Karma Caught Up with Roger Ailes!

John Lithgow is not holding back on his opinion of Roger Ailes!

The 74-year-old actor plays the disgraced Fox News founder in Bombshell, which centers around the women – Megyn Kelly (Theron), Gretchen Carlson (Kidman) and Kayla Pospisil (Robbie) – embroiled in the Fox News sexual assault scandal.

“It was an amazing feeling to be doing a film like this that is so much at the center of everybody’s consciousness these days. This really was kind of an origin story,” John told Seth Meyers while making an appearance on Late Night on Thursday (December 19). “When the Harvey Weinstein story broke, that’s when the dam broke. This was a hole in the dam.”

“It was a period of only about three weeks when so much happened and Roger Ailes life was just washed away,” John continued. “Karma caught up with him.

John Lithgow also talked about his holiday plans, why he likes eating while acting in scenes, and physically transforming into Roger Ailes for Bombshell.
