Zac Efron Updates Fans After Getting 'Sick' in Papua New Guinea

Zac Efron is thanking fans for all their love and support.

After it was reported that he battled a life-threatening infection while in Papua New Guinea, the 32-year-old actor is updating fans on how is he now.

“Very thankful to everyone who has reached out,” Zac wrote on Instagram. “I did get sick in Papua New Guinea but I bounced back quick and finished an amazing 3 weeks in P.N.G. I’m home for the holidays with my friends and family. Thanks for all the love and concern, see you in 2020!”

Zac was in Papua New Guinea filming his upcoming Quibi survival series Killing Zac Efron which follows him deep in the jungle of a remote, dangerous island, falling off the grid for 21 days. He’ll take with him nothing but basic gear and a guide partner.
