'The Grudge' Becomes 20th Film Ever to Earn 'F' CinemaScore

The new remake of The Grudge is in theaters now and it has become the 20th movie in history to earn an “F” from CinemaScore, a market research firm that tracks audiences’ reactions to films.

Reviews for the new movie were embargoed for release until the movie hit theaters on late Thursday night (January 2) and they haven’t been that kind. The movie currently has a 19% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Despite the F CinemaScore, the movie is still on track to earn around $12.6 million for its opening weekend. 2012′s The Devil Inside, which was the last horror film to earn an F CinemaScore, earned $33.7 during its opening weekend and ended its domestic run with $53.2 million.
