Phoebe Waller-Bridge Jokes About Being on Obama’s Top TV Shows List at Golden Globes 2020

Phoebe Waller-Bridge won not one, but TWO awards at the 2020 Golden Globes… and she made sure to give a shout-out to former President Barack Obama!

The 34-year-old actress, who won an acting award earlier in the night, also picked up Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy for Fleabag at the event on Sunday (January 5) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

During the second acceptance speech, Phoebe addressed the honor of being one of Obama‘s top three television programs of the year.

If you watched Fleabag, you’ll know that Phoebe‘s character pleasures herself while watching of the former president’s speeches.

“I’d like to thank Obama for putting us on his list,” Phoebe said. “And as some of you may know, he’s always been on mine. And if you don’t get that joke, watch season one of Fleabag really, really quickly!”
