During his appearance, he spoke about becoming an uncle for the first time and how he finally moved out of the house he lived in with his parents. He also talked about his high school prom, and Ellen found out if he was more than just friends with his date.
Later on, Bryan Stevenson, the social justice activist and attorney Michael portrays in his new film, joined them to discuss racial inequality in America, and how he felt about Michael being cast to play him on the big screen.
Ellen surprised Bryan with $50,000 from Green Dot Bank to put toward his non-profit organization, Equal Justice Initiative, which works to end mass incarceration, excessive punishment, and racial inequality.
