Mac Miller's Family Announces Release of Final Album 'Circles' - Listen to First Track 'Good News'

Mac Miller‘s family is celebrating his legacy with his sixth and final studio album, called Circles.

The family of the rapper, who tragically died at the age of 26 in September of 2018, made the announcement on Thursday (January 8).

Ahead of the album’s release comes lead single “Good News,” as well as an accompanying music video. The song is described as “a poignant six minute, abstract exploration of iconic themes and images through Miller‘s career,” and was directed by Eric Tilford and Anthony Gaddis.

The album was conceived as a sister album to 2018′s Swimming, and was completed with the assistance of producer Jon Brion, who worked on Swimming and had been working together on Circles at the time of his death.

The album will be released on January 17.

There will be three fan pop up exhibitions celebrating the music and legacy of Mac in Los Angeles, New York, and Pittsburgh, featuring “immersive, intimate, front-to-back listenings of Circles in Ultra HD audio, as well as a multimedia fan art exhibition and exclusive new Circles merch offerings.”

Entry is free and all net proceeds from pop up merch sales will go to The Mac Miller Fund. All locations will be open to the public from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. local time on January 17 and January 18. LA will have an additional invite-only, soft-opening and VIP event on January 16 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
