Odell Beckham Jr. Has Arrest Warrant Issued Against Him for Incident in New Orleans

An arrest warrant has been issued for star Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

The warrant comes from an incident that allegedly went down on Monday (January 13) where the NFL player was seemingly recorded slapping the backside of a security guard after the LSU vs Clemson National Championship game in New Orleans.

The arrest warrant has been issued on the complaint of simple battery, and was issued because the security guard filed the complaint.

“We are aware of the incident and have been in touch with Odell and his representatives on the matter,” the Browns said in a statement (via ESPN). “They are cooperating with the proper authorities to appropriately address the situation.”

LSU, which is Odell‘s alma mater, won the game 42-25.

A video of the incident has been making the rounds on social media. You may not know Odell Beckham Jr. too well if you’re not a football fan, but he was once linked to a very famous actress.
