Kim Kardashian Reveals the Reason She Named Her Daughter North!

Kim Kardashian is opening up about the reason she chose North West‘s name.

The 39-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality TV star appeared on Kylie Jenner‘s YouTube account on Tuesday (January 21).

During her Get Ready With Us video, she explained why she gave North her unique name.

“I actually got it from Jay Leno, who made that as a joke,” she revealed, adding that it took “four or five days” to settle on the name.

“Everyone was coming up to me like, ‘It’s such a cool name. You should really think about it,’” she said of her decision after he made the joke, including Pharrell Williams, who explained there were “all these meanings” for the word North.

“They really become the name you name them,” she went on to say.
