Drew Barrymore Celebrates Premiere of Daytime Talk Show in Miami: 'Calling It Optimism TV'!

Drew Barrymore is ready for the premiere of her daytime talk show!

The 44-year-old actress serves as the host and executive producer of The Drew Barrymore Show, a syndicated daytime talk show from CBS Television Distribution that has been cleared to launch this fall on stations representing 85% of U.S. TV households, according to Variety.

Drew celebrated the upcoming premiere by throwing a party for the Drew Barrymore Show at the Soho Beach House on Tuesday evening (January 21) in Miami Beach, Fla.

“I keep calling it ‘Optimism TV,’” Drew expressed at the event. “I’m in the joy business. I don’t carry the umbrella of darkness with me.”

“I didn’t want to let go of everything I’ve done and who I was,” Drew added about returning to TV. “I wanted to make a new application of all that in a way that better served me schedule-wise.”
