Taylor Swift Drops Out of Surprise Grammys 2020 Performance

Taylor Swift was reportedly planning a surprise performance for the 2020 Grammy Awards, but the plans have been canceled.

The 30-year-old entertainer will no longer be performing at the event, according to Variety. There are reports saying she also does not plan on attending the show at all.

Taylor was possibly going to sing “The Man,” a song from her recent album Lover. There are rumors that the drama surrounding the Recording Academy and ousted CEO Deborah Dugan could have led to the cancellation of Taylor‘s performance.

Just last night, Taylor was in Utah for the 2020 Sundance Film Festival premiere of her documentary Miss Americana. She flew back to L.A. right after the premiere and insiders thought she was traveling back so quickly to get ready for the Grammys.

Taylor is nominated for three awards this year – Best Pop Vocal Album for Lover, Song of the Year for “Lover,” and Best Pop Solo Performance for “You Need to Calm Down.”
