Grammys 2020 to Pay Tribute to Kobe Bryant During Ceremony

Kobe Bryant will be honored in a last-minute addition to the 2020 Grammys ceremony airing later tonight (January 26).

Following the tragic news of his death alongside daughter Gianna in a helicopter crash, Grammy producers are now “working quickly” on a tribute, Billboard reported.

“Details are still in play, but a Recording Academy representative confirmed the tribute to the famed Los Angeles Laker. Slain rapper Nipsey Hussle, also a Los Angeles hero, will be celebrated. Interim Recording Academy chief and board chair Harvey Mason led the audience in a moment of silence for Bryant at the premiere ceremony,” the official chart company reported.
