There's Been a Major Update to Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Royal Exit

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will officially no longer be senior members of the royal family beginning on March 31 – marking the end of their official royal duties. The couple announced their intention to step down back in January, and it looks like it’s finally happening for them.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed the news to People, and beginning on April 1, the couple will no longer hold an office at Buckingham Palace.

A review is set to take place in 12 months to assess the situation, since the agreement is unprecedented.

“As there is no precedent for this new model of working and eventual financial independence, the Royal Family and The Sussexes have agreed to an initial 12-month review to ensure the arrangement works for all parties,” their spokesperson said.

Prince Harry‘s Major, Lieutenant Commander and Squadron Leader ranks will be upheld, however, his honorary military positions will not be used during the 12 month trial period.

In addition, we know that the former royals will be headed to the UK in the coming weeks for events, including the Endeavour Fund Awards on March 5. Find out what the Queen recently requested of the couple!

Meanwhile, find out about some of the drama that went down between Prince Harry and Prince William.
