Vanessa Hudgens Checks Out Broadway's 'West Side Story,' the Show That Changed Her Life
Vanessa Hudgens walks the red carpet at the opening night performance of the West Side Story revival on Thursday (February 20) at the Broadway Theatre in New York City.
The 31-year-old actress, who previously was on Broadway in the musical Gigi, has said that West Side Story changed her life.
“I remember watching Natalie Wood in West Side Story for the first time, and I’m kind of always going to think of her as Maria,” Vanessa told Bustle. “[That movie] kind of changed the course of my life — OK, let’s be real, I was probably only like four years old when I saw it — but if I hadn’t seen that film I don’t know if I would have been as passionate about musical theater as I am today.”
Also in attendance at the opening night was Euphoria actress Storm Reid.
FYI: Vanessa is wearing a Cushnie jumpsuit.
