Cate Blanchett Takes On Australia's Immigration System In Her New Series 'Stateless' - Watch Trailer!

Cate Blanchett is hitting the small screen!

The 50-year-old actress has teamed up with her school friend Elise McCredie and director Tony Ayres to create a six-part drama called Stateless from NBCU.

Stateless centers on four strangers — from a flight attendant to an Afghan refugee — who find themselves caught up in one of Australia’s many immigration centers, THR reports. Cate, who plays a fictional cult leader, is joined by an ensemble cast that includes Yvonne Strahovski, Dominic West and Jai Courtney.

Stateless premieres at Berlinale on 26 February before debuting on the ABC on 1 March.
