Christina Hendricks Reveals She Was Hand Model for 'American Beauty' Poster!

Christina Hendricks had a integral role in the iconic imagery of American Beauty.

While making an appearance alongside Logan Lerman on The Late Late Show on Monday (Febraury 24), the Good Girls actress shared that she used to be a model, and at times, a hand model, and that a gig led her to being the hand model for the famous poster for the hit 1999 film, which features a hand holding a red rose against a bare stomach.

“We did different combinations. I didn’t know what American Beauty was, I didn’t know what that movie was,” Christina recalled, revealing that she wasn’t alone in the shoot. “My hand, her stomach. Everybody that knows me, knew. I posted it on my Instagram and everyone went crazy. It’s cool!”

“I don’t know quite how I feel about it not being my stomach, but you know,” Christina added.
