Timothy Hutton Accused of Raping 14-Year-Old Girl in 1983

Timothy Hutton, the Oscar-winning star of the movie Ordinary People, is being accused of raping a girl when she was just 14-years-old. He denies that this ever happened.

Sera Johnston, a former Canadian model, says that Hutton raped her in his Vancouver hotel room back in 1983 while he was filming the movie Iceman. She and her friends allegedly joined the actor and his friends in his hotel room and she says Hutton forced himself on her while his friend watched. Timothy, who is 59 now, would have been 22 or 23 at the time of the incident.

“To everything I would say, it was, ‘It’ll be OK, it’ll be OK. It won’t last long, and you’ll be fine,’” Sera told Buzzfeed.

Sera says that she was treated “like a doll” and compared the alleged assault to being prepped for surgery. She said, “I just lay there very rigid. I remember being really cold.”

“It hurt like hell,” she said. “I mean, it was very painful. God. Yeah, it was extremely painful. Horrible, horrible, absolutely horrible.”

Sera claims that the friend forced her to perform oral sex on him, but that Hutton told the friend to stop. “‘She doesn’t like that,’ or whatever. Meanwhile, he finished raping me,” she said.

Timothy‘s lawyer says that the actor “completely and unequivocally denies” the allegations being made by Sera and says that he has never met her. The rep says he “will not spend one more minute dignifying these allegations as they are patently false and designed only to extort money from him.”

Buzzfeed says that Timothy‘s legal team sent them a 91-page letter that was meant to discredit the allegations and paint Sera as a liar who is looking for a monetary settlement.

Sera reportedly asked for a $1.5 million settlement and Timothy agreed to pay $135,000, though she says she walked away from the money because “she couldn’t stomach the terms of the agreement, which includes Hutton’s denial that anything happened at all.”
