Megan Thee Stallion's Label Denies Blocking Her From Releasing New Music

Former Dodgers baseball star Carl Crawford is denying Megan Thee Stallion‘s claims that his 1501 Entertainment is blocking the release of her music.

Over the weekend, the 25-year-old rapper took to her Instagram Live Story to claim that her record label 1501 Entertainment isn’t letting her release any new music after she asked to renegotiate her contract.

Now, Carl is disputing the claims.

“It’s a whole lie,” he shared in an interview with Billboard. “Nothing is true that she said. Me being greedy and taking money from her, that’s crazy. I never tried to take nothing from her. The only thing we ever did was give, give, give.”

Carl says that after Megan signed to Roc Nation in September, she went radio silent, opting not to pay him or 1501 any of the money she owed which were laid out in the terms of her contract.

He added that “nobody wanted to stop her music. I understand that, but she’s ignored me since August. I haven’t spoke to her since August, and this is what’s going on. She hasn’t tried to do nothing. She hasn’t made one payment since August.”

Earlier this week, Megan was granted a restraining order against the label, with the judge ordering 1501 Entertainment “to do nothing to prevent the release, distribution, and sale of Pete’s new records.”
