Ciara Cancels Texas Concert Due to Travel Concerns Amid Coronavirus & Her Pregnancy

Ciara has canceled her March 19 concert in Texas after her doctors advised her not to travel amid the Coronavirus outbreak.

The 34-year-old singer is currently pregnant with her third child and doctors want her to “limit travel and large group gatherings.”

The concert was scheduled to celebrate the grand opening of the new Fort Hood USO in Texas.

“With the continued spread of the coronavirus throughout the U.S., as a pregnant woman, my doctors have advised me to limit travel and large group gatherings,” she said in a statement (via THR). “I am disappointed I won’t be able to return this month to the place where I was born, Ft. Hood Texas, and put on the amazing show we had planned.”

“I urge everyone to be diligent in taking steps to stay healthy and safe,” she added.

The Fort Hood USO will have its grand opening this summer and Ciara‘s concert will be rescheduled to later in the year.
