NBA's Stephen Curry Tested for Coronavirus, Diagnosed with the Flu

Stephen Curry was tested for Coronavirus after falling ill over the weekend. He was diagnosed with influenza A.

“This morning Stephen Curry was diagnosed with influenza A by a positive viral testing,” the statement read. “We have identified his probable source contact who is not part of basketball operations. He has no specific risk factors for COVID-19. He has seasonal flu. We have begun treatment for Stephen and instituted our team protocol for influenza exposure,” the team said in a statement.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr was asked in a press conference if Steph had been tested for COVID-19 (aka the Coronavirus). “I believe so,” he responded.

Steph only just returned from a months-long absence due to injury on Thursday (March 5), only to be sidelined on Saturday (March 7) with this illness. Get well soon!

Over 500 in the United States have tested positive for the virus, with 22 having died in the country.
