'Peter Rabbit 2' Release Date Delayed Months Due to Coronavirus

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway will no longer be released this month.

Sony has confirmed to Deadline that the international release of the movie will now be released on August 7, 2020, due to Coronavirus. Experts are expecting the US release, which is set for April 3, to also be pushed to August.

Peter Rabbit 2 isn’t the first film to delay release over Coronavirus. Another hit film just announced a November 2020 release date after pushing back from April.

Experts are saying that COVID-19 is effecting the box office numbers and this weekend’s tallies seem to be proof.
