Emily Blunt Debuts Hilarious 'A Quiet Place' Parody Airline 'A Quiet Plane' on 'Kimmel'! (Video)
A Quiet Place has reached new heights!
While making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday (March 10), Emily Blunt debuted a hilarious idea for a new noise-free airline called A Quiet Plane as a parody for her new film, A Quiet Place Part II.
In the A Quiet Plane spoof monsters from A Quiet Place roam about the cabin and eat people who are noisy. “Thank you for flying A Quiet Plane,” says Blunt, 37, in the sketch, after she’s finished intimidating various passengers into silence. “Now shut the f*ck up and enjoy your flight.”
During her interview, Emily also revealed she almost didn’t pursue acting in order to become a pop star: “I could have been Britney (Spears),” she joked. “I don’t want to tell you too much because I feel like someone is going to find these songs… Do you want to know the name of one of them? ‘Ring It Up.’ It will never see the light of day.”
Emily added that the person who wrote her the song said she had a “nice voice” and had the potential to be a pop star: “I said, ‘I can’t dance.’ They said, ‘Don’t worry about it. We’ll teach you.’ It didn’t work. I tried to learn.’”
Judi Dench was the one to set her back on the right path: “I was doing a play… my first job was with Judi Dench – yeah, the Dame – which was incredible and she was wonderful to me,” Emily recalled. “And I went to her for advice because I was really, really nervous about this career that I didn’t know was right for me – I didn’t think was right for me – and she was like, ‘Oh no, darling. You can’t do both. You can’t act and do that.’ She talked me out of it.”
FYI: Emily is wearing a Dean Davidson ring. She’s wearing a Sentaler coat and a Akris handbag outside.
