Angela Bassett Teases 'Black Panther' Sequel Progress: 'It's Coming Along'!

Angela Bassett is teasing a bit of information about the upcoming Black Panther sequel!

The 61-year-old stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and gave Black Panther fans an update on the highly anticipated sequel: “[It's] going along. Coming along,” she told host Jimmy. “Amazing, absolutely.”

Jimmy then continued to press on, “You were telling me backstage that they decided to change the costume of Black Panther?” Going along with the joke, Angela quipped, “Jimmy, I was telling you that in confidence. You are now—you did not!”

Angela then jokingly backtracked, “I know nothing about nothing. I have nothing to talk about.” Jimmy responded, “We have guests on the show from these Marvel movies, and they’re not allowed to talk at all. So, I’m like, ‘Alright!’”

Angela Bassett also shared a preview of her official Madame Tussauds Wax Museum figure poses, talked about meeting Lizzo for the first time on the NAACP Image Awards and chatted about gun training for her series 9-1-1.

Black Panther 2 is set to hit theaters on May 6, 2022!
