Celebs React to Man Who Hoarded Hand Sanitizer & Has Nowhere to Sell It Now

A New York Times article about a man who bought 17,700 bottles of hand sanitizer with the intent of selling them for profit has gone viral… and people are not happy with him.

Matt Colvin is an Amazon merchant and he has an overflowing stock of cleaning and sanitizing supplies at his home in Tennessee after Amazon removed all listings they believe to be price gouging.

Starting on March 1, Colvin went to stores around Tennessee and cleaned out the shelves, filling up a U-Haul truck with all the coveted goods. After selling 300 bottles of hand sanitizer for between $8 and $70 each, Amazon removed his listings and thousands of other ones.

Celebs like Busy Philipps, Patrick J. Adams, and Schitt’s Creek‘s Annie Murphy are all slamming his actions.

“This is what a piece of sh-t looks like. Let’s not be pieces of sh-t like this guy. Let’s be generous and thoughtful and kind and helpful. Not pieces of sh-t. Like this guy. Who is a piece of sh-t,” Annie wrote on Instagram.

Since the article went viral, Matt has said he will find a place to donate his stockpile.
