WWE's Wrestlemania 2020 Will Happen Without an Audience Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

The WWE has announced that Wrestlemania 36 will still take place next month, though it will happen without an audience amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The event will no longer take place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. It will instead be filmed on a closed set at the organization’s training facility in Orlando.

“In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania,” the company said in a statement.

Sports like the NBA, NHL, and MLS have all suspended in-season games at this time.
