'American Idol' Has Suspended Production Because of Coronavirus

American Idol is the latest television show to halt production on their current season, due to coronavirus concerns.

TVLine is reporting that all the contestants who had made through the elimination rounds have also been sent home to their families.

Some of production is working on the show remotely, and episodes are expected to continue to air as scheduled through the beginning of the live shows. Those were supposed to air in mid-April.

American Idol, with judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and pregnant Katy Perry, and host Ryan Seacrest, airs on Sundays and Mondays on ABC.
