Amanda Bynes' Lawyer Asks For Her 'Privacy' Amid Treatment for Mental Health After Pregnancy Announcement

Amanda Bynes‘ lawyer is speaking out on her behalf, just hours after she personally announced she was pregnant.

If you missed it, weeks ago, Amanda announced her engagement to Paul Michael, after they met in late 2019 at a sober living home.

Weeks later, they announced they had split. Then, this week, Amanda shared that she was pregnant with the couple’s first child.

Now, we’re getting an update from her lawyer David Esquibias.

“Any reports that Amanda is suffering from drug or alcohol addiction issues are completely false,” he told People in a statement. “We ask for privacy during this time, and for any speculation about her personal life from the public and the media to cease so Amanda can focus on getting better.”

Esquibias also said she “is seeking treatment for ongoing mental health issues.”
