Four Members of NJ Family Have Died from Coronavirus, Three More Still Hospitalized

Four members of one family in New Jersey have died after being infected with coronavirus.

55-year-old Rita Fusco-Jackson died on Friday (March 13) and her brother Carmine Fusco died on Wednesday (March 18).

Without knowing that her two children had passed away, their mother Grace Fusco died at the age of 73 just hours after Carmine‘s death.

On Thursday (March 19), Grace‘s son Vincent Fusco passed away.

Three more of Grace‘s children remain in the hospital and the New York Times reports that 20 of their relatives are quarantined in their homes and are unable to mourn the deaths as a family.

It is believed that the family contracted the virus during a recent family dinner. Another man who was present at the dinner has since died as well.

“It’s completely devastating,” a family friend told NJ.com. “They will need the faith they’ve always embraced to get them through this overwhelming shock and profound grief.”

We’re sending our thoughts and condolences to the Fusco family during this difficult time.
