Brandon Maxwell is Making Gowns & Masks to Donate Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Brandon Maxwell is in the process of designing masks, gowns, and gloves during the coronavirus pandemic.

The 35-year-old designer and Project Runway judge revealed on Twitter on Monday (March 23) that he and is teaming are working on producing medical essentials for the doctors and nurses battling the global virus.

“In response to this global crisis, we are now focusing our creative efforts on manufacturing PPE, starting with gowns,” Brandon wrote. “We have spent the last week researching the appropriate medical textiles to create these gowns and are proud to provide these much needed items to the doctors and nurses on the front lines of this crisis.”

Brandon continued: “As more information becomes available on how to manufacture medical grade masks and gloves, we will transition into doing so. Any information you can share for donation locations or organizations would be greatly appreciated.”

Brandon
isn’t the only designing working to help medical professionals. This fellow designer recently revealed he’s making masks to donate to hospitals as well.
