Lori Loughlin Wants Her Criminal Case to Be Dismissed

Lori Loughlin has filed a motion to have her criminal case, which is part of the college admissions scandal, be dismissed.

The 55-year-old Full House actress and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were charged with conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery, along with other charges. They have pleaded not guilty.

It has been said that Rick Singer, the man at the center of the scandal, was told by the FBI to lie about the couple’s knowledge of bribes being paid.

People reports that the memo filed by Loughlin and Giannulli‘s lawyers says “the Government belatedly disclosed Singer’s contemporaneous written notes revealing that those recordings were a sham carefully engineered by government agents in an effort to ‘entrap’ Defendants and ‘nail’ them ‘at all costs.’”

The couple was originally accused of paying $500,000 to Singer and the Key Worldwide Foundation to have their daughters designated as recruits for the USC crew team, even though neither of them were crew team members before.
